two job offers right away - my luck has changed?
If there is some kind of God and it laughs, G-d is certainly laughing at me and my predicament now. And also perhaps smiling, with hope.
I had two scheduled job interviews today. Interestingly, the day after the last day of my brief temp job. One was with a hardware store. One was with a grocery/pharmacy store. Both are beginning level positions that would start with part-time hours. To both, I ave the same availability - any day of the week, 8AM-5:30PM.
I got hired on the spot for the grocery/pharmacy position. The three hour training for that one is this Thursday - in two days.
I got offered the position at the hardware store about an hour after our interview - the call (and voicemail) came DURING my interview with the grocery/pharmacy store.
What do I do?
I won't go through the full list but they both have pros and cons. Overall, from my perspective, they appear about equally valuable as jobs for me now.
Right now I'm planning on doing both. I'd have to make sure I can balance the schedules so they don't overlap. I think it's possible. It could even be good.
Surprise, surprise. I didn't really want to work in jobs like these but I guess they are readily available to me now that I've applied myself... Minimum wage isn't what I was hoping for but at this point it is certainly much better than no income.
Praying... for stability. and intelligence. in this decision, and in whatever path I choose job-wise.
